t battery backup. After screwing around with every option
in AmiBerry. After hours at work and home googling ways to fix this, I came across the setclock load function of AOS 3.2.2. I set up a cron event in
C-Net for every 2 hours and now it resets the clock every 2 hours so it is pretty much perfect.

Next step, getting BinkD to work so I can continue my FTN networks, this one was a lot tougher. Downloaded BinkD installed it on Debian, got the config
file converted from Windows, it wouldn't start because it kept erroring on
the ASO option for Amiga Style Outbound! This one also drove me nuts, it
turns out BinkD in Linux does not support ASO out of the box. So I had to assemble it with the ASO flag set. No sooner do I boot up the new BinkD it tries to send out the waiting files. A few other errors later, and BinkD is
now sending files with no issues.

I intend to write up a Doc file in the near future showing each step in order to get C-Net Amiga running in Linux with no issues so far!

Yes .. I went snooping after writing that and found ya :) Love the C-Net BBS so much! Really brings me back to better days. Have you played with Commodore Vision OS? I just downloaded it. I won't have time to mess with it until Sunday but am looking forward to it. I tried loading the AMI emulator but it does not support Mint. I'm assuming I can compile the source and it would work, but thats also likely Sunday :)

Thanks for the call.. :) C-Net is cool, I ran a C64 10.0-12.0 back in the 80's, so wanting to run a BBS on every platform I had bck in the day had me choosing C-Net. As for Commodore VIsion OS, I played with it a couple of years ago, I think it was like version 1.0 or something, I was impressed by the bells and whistles but not the implementation of Vice and everything else.. At that point I was getting deeper into Linux and chose Debian (COS is a derivative of Debian) and decided I would prefer to set it up my way, installing Vice from source was simple. So, I run a couple of BBS' in Vice now also. If you are saying Amiberry is not compatible with Mint just download either the Ubuntu version or Debian version, Mint is based on Debian so it should install with no issues.. I don't have a Mint testbed otherwise I would check..

That is the exact setup I have except I run inside a VM on a Proxmoxx Server. It is quick and runs really well. I just have to upgrade to the latest Amiberry..
