Might the Odyssey be considered an early form of litrpg?

In any case.. this material is quite popular right now, and keeing it in stock for sale is challenging.
Personally, I find this version, 9781667212166, to be a fine treatment. The
translation is rendered in standard novel format, not poem-style, and the
english is "modern", thus no friction in the reading experience.
Also..
Dungeon Crawler Carl is really taking off in big ways. The 2nd volume (from
2021) was just recently released in paperback. Considering that there are 8
volumes in this series sofar, looks like the publisher is prepared to milk
this material in hardback (at +$40ea) for a while!

That's an interesting idea.
What I remember being quite passionate about a while back, was when I was explaining about how modern web-novels/serials are a return to the past in the sense that you get this whole story one chapter at a time, exactly the way people read a lot of Dickens and others, serialized in newspapers.
