It is Trump's Republican base that is now accusing him of wanting to capitulate to Iran.
The details that emerged regarding last weekend's talks seem to amount to the US admitting defeat.
Trump even appears willing to release 20 billion dollars in frozen Iranian assets. This comes while, 10 years ago, he was furious about the 400 million dollars Obama released as a show of goodwill when signing the treaty with Iran at the time.
The treaty that Trump tore up because he didn't think it was good enough, and which he doesn't even seem to be coming close to now.
Have the Republicans finally realized that Trump is simply a con artist?
I don't have that hope. They may be blowing hot air now, but they will just stand behind Trump again as soon as they are instructed to do so. Lapdogs, that is what the Republicans are these days.
