I am running The Rat's Den - Amiga in emulation.

I have an Amiga 2000 that is probbably dead from never removing the RTC battery in my parents garage, that at the very least I would like to pull the hard drive out of the next time I visit so I can see if I can image it and get some old PFILES that I have not been able to find again..

It would just be way to expensive to get the thing running again, everything that would need to be replaced costs a kidney by themselves.

    1) Keyboard
    2) Mouse
    3) PSU
    4) Floppy
    5) I think the CPU is dead..

I would not consider running a BBS in anything BUT emulation. Hardware is just too expensive to be sitting on all the time so other people can use it.

That being said, I am running it on an M1 MacMini using Amiberry. It runs pretty well, except for the occasional CTD.. One of my upcoming projects is to see if I can replace the PRAM battery on a 2016 spec bumped trashcan Mac Pro and install Windows 11 on it and move it back to WinUAE ( So I can use JIT). There is a CPU permissions limmitation on the Apple Silicone that does not allow for JIT to be used.

I have an Amiga 1200 sitting in storage, I should try to get it running with bbs software as an alternative options for users to telnet to..

    ... I wish life had a scroll-back buffer.
